“Flamingo Party” (acrylic painting on canvas, 2021)

Flamingos are among my favorite animals. I love how beautiful and elegant they look, especially in contrast to the wild honking noises that they make. I felt inspired to paint a family of them, dancing as if having a party. I painted them in different colors and sizes, intermingling directly into the center of the painting. I painted straight to the edge to give the impression that this party continues off the page beyond the viewer's eye, and this is just a snapshot of a few flamingos within a much larger group, their beautiful feathers rustling in the breeze and honking happily, louder than a flock of geese flying overhead.
